Does my child need to know how to swim to be on the team?
The swimmer must be able to make it across the pool unaided to compete.
Practices are geared toward improving stroke and technique, getting faster, and not necessarily "learning to swim".
Are private "learn to swim" lessons available?
Yes, the coaches can provide private lessons if you schedule with them directly. These lessons are not part of the team dues and are subject to the coach's discretion on price and availability. Please see a coach or email: [email protected] for more information.
Do we have to come to every practice to be on the team/swim in the meets?
Being at every practice is highly recommended, but not mandatory. Things come up, but we want to make sure that there's clear communication between families and coaches as to the whereabouts of swimmers to avoid possible issues of availability.
When are swim meets?
Meets are typically held Saturday mornings before the pool opens to the neighborhood or Monday evenings when the pool is closed to the neighborhood.

Where are the swim meets?
Swim meets can be held at our neighborhood facility or the opposing team's facility
Is the price for the whole season?
Yes, the registration price listed above is for the entire season and includes part of the team uniform (swim cap and t-shirt)
($185 registration fees break down to about $4.00/ 30-45 min group practice per child)
Can we pay per practice?
Unfortunately, no, our insurance covers only swimmers who pay in full to participate in the program.

Parent Meetings
Our Pre-Season Parent meeting will be held in April via ZOOM before the first practices or meets of the season. We are looking forward to meeting everyone and answering as many questions as possible.
TEAM SUITS
Our team suit can be found under the "Merchant Ship" Tab. We will have a suit sizing and orders that take place at D&J Sports in Katy at the beginning of April (please check the calendar). Suits are custom-made and arrive by the first swim meet.
